Learning Moments series Children Dealing with Frustration
This Learning Moments CD (for use on a computer) presents real-life video files that are the perfect compliment to workshops, lectures, and online courses on how children deal with the inevitable frustrations that occur during an ordinary day.
"Excerpt from Children Dealing with Frustrations. Here a child's play interferes with the goals of another child. When should a teacher intervene? How can a teacher intercede in children's conflicts?"
A tire swing may be difficult to mount as it moves back and forth. A child reaches for an object to use in the sand table, but a friend quickly takes it for her own. A group of boys have difficulty starting a game because they all want to go first. A child is accidentally bumped with a shovel, and the adult encourages the offending child to soothe the upset child. Four children think ahead about how to deal with play when it becomes too rough.
